Description: A feature documentary film following undocumented immigrant Angy Rivera as she steps out of the shadows both as an undocumented activist and as a victim of sexual assault. The film aired on POV/PBS in September of 2015 and was supported by ITVS, Latino Public Broadcasting, and the Fledgling Fund. It is currently screening across the country and available for educational screenings from Women Make Movies.

The film combines personal stories, told by distinguished disabled veterans, with deep history narrated by leading scholars in the fields of disability studies, history and psychology to illustrate the human cost of war and the enormous sacrifices of military service. Directed by Ric Burns,Debt of Honor airs November 10th 2015 as part of PBS’ Stories of Service.
